Terms and Conditions

All bookings are made on request and tour operations are subject to minimum passengers.

Ngurrangga Tours reserves the right to apply additional rate levies and surcharges in response to unforeseen significant fluctuations in the costs of goods and services.  Any increases in levies and fees to be paid will be additional to the listed rate schedule and notified as they arise.

Ngurrangga Tours reserves the right to alter rates, times, and tour content due to seasonal or cultural circumstances. Concession fares for individual guests do not apply to international travelers and group tour participants. Concession fares may apply to holders of Australian Senior Cards, Australian Pensioner Cards and full‐time students studying in Australia. Card membership numbers must be quoted at time of booking.

Public Tours

  • Credit card is charged full amount at time of booking.
  • Confirmation will be received within 48 hours of tour departure, subject to availability.
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved.
  • Due to uneven surfaces, tours are not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair (other than Premium Rock Art Tour).
  • Premium Rock Art tour OR Rock Art & Bush Tucker tour (Nganjarli / Murujuga) meeting point: the first group of information boards at Nganjarli (Deep Gorge), near the car park off Hearson Cove Road.
  • Rock Art tour Yaburrara (Karratha) meeting point: Karratha Tank Hill Lookout (Stove Hill WA). Overflow parking at Karratha Tourism & Visitor Centre.
  • 4WD Tagalong tour meeting point: Karratha Tourism & Visitor Centre (Lot 4548 De Witt Rd, Karratha WA).

Private Tours

  • Customer not charged upon booking, only once booking is confirmed by supplier.
  • Prices are per head, with a minimum number of 4 bookings (or cost thereof) to proceed. Bookings have 40 pax maximum.
  • Full payment OR 50% deposit once booking is confirmed and remaining 50% to be payable within 2 weeks of experience completed.
  • National Park fees included.

4WD Tagalong Tours

  • For both public and private tours, we require a minimum of 4 bookings, or the cost thereof, for a booking to proceed. If the tour doesn’t proceed due to numbers not being met, you will receive a full refund, or you can choose to transfer your booking to another day (public tours).
  • Prices are per regular car, buses or larger vehicles will be charged an additional charge.
  • Each vehicle can have as many guests as they would like.
  • Vehicles need to have a standard 4WD clearance, and we don’t recommend anything over 1,000 kgs.
  • For private tours, customer not charged upon booking, only once booking is confirmed by supplier. Once booking is confirmed, full payment OR 50% deposit and remaining 50% to be payable within 2 weeks of experience completed.
  • Guests will have the opportunity to sample traditional seasonal foods, but meals and refreshments are not included.
  • No or limited toilet facilities available.

Cross Cultural Awareness Training

  • Full payment OR 50% deposit at time of booking and remaining 50% to be payable within 2 weeks of experience completed.
  • Rates are per person.
  • Minimum 10 attendees per session, or the equivalent fee (+ GST).
  • Maximum 40 attendees per session, but capped at 20% + GST of full price.
  • You are responsible for booking a venue with chairs, tables and projector – we can arrange but it will be an additional cost.
  • Cultural Awareness Training is West Pilbara focused.

Cancellation Policy

  • When paying by credit card, your card is charged the total amount as soon as we receive confirmation of your booking.
  • If confirmation isn’t received instantly, an authorisation is held against your card until it arrives.
  • If you change or cancel your booking request, charges may apply.
  • If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
  • If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.
  • If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
  • Should a tour be cancelled or rescheduled by Ngurrangga Tours, you will be given the option to receive a refund or reschedule for the same tour.
  • Failure to attend a tour or experience (No Show) – 100% cancellation fee.
  • If you reschedule within 3 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 20 percent rescheduling fee.

Other Terms and Conditions

Most tours require you to walk on uneven surfaces, rocky and muddy tracks and up inclines and require an appropriate, surefooted level of fitness. Please ask if you are unsure if your fitness level is right for the tour you are undertaking.

Whilst every precaution will be taken for the safety of participants, no liability of any kind whatsoever can be taken in the event of death, accident, injury, loss or damage to person and property or cost of emergency evacuations on these tours. This exclusion of liability shall apply to Ngurrangga Tours and be for the benefit of its agents, servants, and representatives.

Ngurrangga Tours will not be responsible for expenses incurred by you as a result of your booking or any cancellation.

Participant Declaration & Disclaimer

  • You must not participate in this tour (or selected activities) if you believe, or have reason to suspect, that your health or physical condition may put your safety or that of other participants at risk. If unsure, please speak to your guide before the tour begins.
  • Please be aware that even if you feel able to participate, you may be refused to participate or continue at any stage of the tour on the grounds of conduct and behavior that puts others at risk (inclusive of medical grounds).

By accepting these Terms & Conditions I honestly declare:

  1. I have considered my health and ability to complete the tour. I am confident that my health and safety and that of others will not be put at risk whilst participating in the tour.
  2. I have travel/health insurance to cover medical / extraction transfers e.g. ambulance, Royal Flying Doctors.
  3. I understand Ngurrangga Tours is not responsible for unexpected delays (e.g. road closures due to fire, rain, flood etc.) resulting in missed connections e.g. transport, flights, tours, events or for expenses incurred by you as a result of your booking or any cancellation.
  4. I will not damage, deface or destroy any equipment supplied by Ngurrangga Tours.
  5. I agree to comply with Ngurrangga Tours’ Etiquette Policy to:
    • Follow the guide’s instructions.
    • Act in a safe and responsible way at all times.
    • Turn mobile phones on silent.
    • Not touch or disturb flowers, plants, or other native flora in any way.
    • Not touch or disturb wildlife in any way.
    • Not to disturb or pollute the environment, for example: townships, attractions, waterways, bush land, beaches.
    • Dispose of all rubbish responsibly.
    • Not to smoke during the tour (unless advised as permissible by your guide at designated tour stops).
    • Not to dispose of cigarette butts in the natural environment at any time (fire/environmental risk).
  6. I have read and understood this Participation Declaration and Disclaimer.

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, I warrant I understand that:

  1. I agree I will participate in the tour at my own risk.
  2. I agree to indemnify Ngurrangga Tours against any loss, damage or claim suffered arising out of, or in any way in connection with my participation in the tour, or a breach by me of the Terms of this document (to the extent permitted by law).
  3. Ngurrangga Tours and its authorized sub-contractors have the authority to use and reproduce any photos/video taken of me during the tour for any purpose including display and sale by or on behalf of Ngurrangga Tours without any compensation. Photos/videos remain copyright to Ngurrangga Tours and must not be reproduced or used by me or anyone I authorize for any
